Below are our privacy, security, purchase, shipping and return policies that you may want to know when ordering from us.



  • The information that you provide will not be disclosed to others (third parties) and will be used for our internal business purposes only. We maintain your billing and shipping information.


  • Shopping at ottoman-history.com is safe. Every credit card purchase you make is backed by our security guarantee. Our secure server software encrypts information, ensuring that Internet transactions stay private and protected. If any unauthorized use of your credit card occurs as a result of your credit card purchase from us, simply notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.

  • When entering your billing information we by default use a secure server. When a browser communicates with a secure server all data is encrypted, keeping it private. This technology makes it safer to transmit your credit card information over the Internet.

  • If you get an error message when you try to place an order, it may be because there is a firewall between you and the Internet that is not configured to allow secure transactions to pass. Ask your system administrator if port 443 is open for secure HTTP, if not ask him/her to configure it.

  • To use the secure server, your browser must support SSL (Secure Socket Layer). If your browser does not support SSL, you cannot use the secure server.

    A. Online Ordering through Our WebSite...

  • When your orders are paid with credit card and confirmed by our bank, they will be shipped in 24 hours.

  • Our website does calculate international shipping costs automatically based on your country.

  • The ordered items are delivered by a door to door delivery system, and the client party is not bound with any kind of tax.

  • After placing your order, you will receive an e-mail acknowledgment within one business day to confirm that we are processing your order. The message will contain the details of your order, the total amount that will be billed to your credit card, including shipping and handling, and a tracking number for tracking your package online.

  • The online credit card transaction process is based on Turkish Lira and the total of purchase will be reconverted to local currency of your credit card. The total amount that will be charged from your credit card may vary ± 0.005 due to differences between the currency of the Central Bank of Turkey and your credit card issuer's currency base. As a result of currency fluctuations, invoiced prices may vary from those quoted.

  • We ship all of our orders by TNT, UPS, DHL and ASE International Courier Services.

  • You can find the shipping charges online before entering your credit card information and submitting your order. As we mentioned above, our website does calculate international shipping costs automatically based on your country.

  • Orders will not be shipped until the payment has been received.

  • Weekend and holidays are not counted by the courier services.

  • The orders placed during non-business hour, such as evenings, weekends, and holidays are normally processed and shipped on the next business day. For example, if a package is shipped on Friday with "next day air-shipping method", the normal delivery time will be Monday.

  • Shipments take about 3-4 business days to USA and Canada. We have made it very easy for you to check the status of your order during transit. We will send you a tracking number with an e-mail after your package is shipped. During transit of your package, you may use this number to track, locate and verify arrival of the package.


  • We can not exchange items unless they are defected or damaged.

  • The client has to check the physical condition (damaged or not) of the delivered item on the time of receiving and indicate in the form provided by courier with the package.

  • In case of verification, the damage caused by the courier company will be compensated.
